The Unexpected Everything, by Morgan Matson

One of my favorite summertime novels, The Unexpected Everything, follows daughter-of-a-senator Andie on her summer adventures after her father’s political scandal causes her shoo-in at medical internship to fall through… Lost and without a plan for the first time ever, Andie takes a job as a dog walker and when she starts to make new friends and discover new interests, she realizes the best plans are the ones you don’t make. Recommended for middle school and up, this book is perfect for lazy days by the pool! -Reviewed by Kennedy
